Mail Connector is a BlackBerry Internet Solution (BIS) feature that allows customers to connect devices to their Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Domino email server.

RIM is providing online and telephone support to both customers and Partners to discuss the different options available and then re-configure the customer's service to re-start their email.

"The logo we have adopted was an easy choice, but I didn't have a name in mind. By happy coincidence, the car I drive is an Audi Avant so I thought that would do nicely!

"After we'd made the choice, I found out that Avant means 'those whose ideas or techniques are in advance', so it's particularly appropriate as it turns out! The image overhaul has given us a new lease of life and our customers have responded well to the change. We are entering a new era for Avant and it's an exciting time for both us and our customers," says Marc.
